THE LIVE- Manhwa critic review and summary [CHECK IT OUT BEFORE WASTING TIME READING IT]

Have you "SecondLife Ranker" manhwa before? If you have, you may find some similarities in "The Live". As in both the MCs come to a Game-type world to take revenge on the ones who hurt their family. One difference that we can see is that MC in The Live also wants to bring back his wife and daughter to life. And another similarity that I felt is that in "SecondLife Ranker" (👈CLICK HERE TO SEE SUMMARY) he has memories from his dead brother about the game world and its secrets and in The Live he has his diary from the future which helps to make decisions which can make him stronger. And also both MCs have bracelets that are incomplete and have the great power of a God-like person.

Another thing I felt is that even though at first there are many peoples who came to the tutorial like MC there is one guy (Jeongyu Yoo) who stick with MC. All others have simply vanished from the storyline as we cannot see at least 1 person's condition at some point in the story. And unlike other likewise manhwas, the people with top powers in humanity here are all aiming for one wish i.e to go back to Earth -  This I personally feel illogical as there are always ones who don't want to go back. Mostly here in this parallel world, there is no major infighting whether it is in Humans, Demons or  Angels; This is one major thing I felt different from other likewise Manhwas as it is common knowledge that HUMANS DON'T WORK WITHOUT BEING SELFISH and Infighting is very common in whatever circumstances they are in. Anyways before reading its 100+ chapters check out the storyline to see if it's your cup of tea.

In short, the storyline goes on like this;

MC "Yoonjae Kim" is a family man who lost his wife "Eunkyung" and daughter "Mina" in a murder. One day while MC living in depression and writing his diary a miracle happens, his diary started showing notes from the future which is written by him in future. So MC with the help of his diary in the tutorial round makes the right decisions to survive and to get stronger in the tutorial. MC raids the hidden trails, accumulates more stats, and gets skills that others should have gotten as per the diary. By the end of the tutorial, he got "Jeongyu Yoo" as his friend. 

In the beginner village, 'Melun' MC finds the first Dungeon near it 'Forgotten Laboratory of Abram' with the help of the diary and he and his friend drinks the potions that increase their stats but when MC tells Abram about the laboratories place, Abram uses his new body in the laboratory to transfer his soul then later attempt massacre in the village but fails and he gets killed by MC. Then MC and "Jeongyu Yoo" goes to the 'Darkmume' village which is under 'Murderer Clan' to participate in the trial to join them as MC knew that the serial killer Yunseong Park" who killed his family will be there from the Diary. And MC kills him effortlessly. 

Later as MC finished what he came for he gives the evidence of 'The Murderer Clan' working with Demons to "Walker Elbin" from 'The Skyscraper Clan' which led to the start of the war between 'The Murderer Clan' and other righteous clans. The Murderer Clan get defeated even though there is a spy from the Murderer Clan on the righteous side "Turner", as the demon tree where the demon seed grows is hacked down by the MC and friend. They also capture "Shippman" of the Murderer Clan. 

Later MC and his friend go to 'The Demon Forest' to get stronger which is one of the forbidden places. After 9 months of training, MC, "Jeongyu Yoo" along with "Walker Elbin", "Lois" and "PyeongTaek Chun" the surveyor go to 'The Middle Lands' for an expedition. There they fight the demon soldiers "Vellad", "Relazieh" and "Turner" who turned into Demon and kill them and also destroy the demon trees there. In there, MC also learns about the 'Holy grail' that has the power to fulfil any 'one wish' and that demons and angels are fighting over it, but humans that lost their 'Key' to get the 'Holy grail' is always in peril situation until MC came as a new 'Key' to the 'Holy grail' who can help them to go back to earth. 

Then MC and "Jeongyu Yoo" went to "Kim Jin Seok" <the outer heavens> place to get the training to get stronger. Thereafter some period Murderous clan leader- Emily who turned demon and her subordinates comes to "Kim Jin Seok's" place to kill MC 'the Key' but MC, "Jeongyu Yoo" and "Kim Jin Seok" defeats them and also we can realise that "Emily" is a good person who sacrifices herself for the greater good. Later Arhan (Clanmaster of the skyscrapers), Baekchon (white tower Clanmaster) and "Walker Elbin" went to 'Zinger Clan' to meet "Fukushi Genji" (Leader of the Clan zinger) who is a traitor under Demons on the human side, They try to kill "Fukushi Genji" but couldn't as he escapes. Later MC strengthen his magic power and overall stats with the help of "Baekchun" using the laboratory and research books of the grand magician Abram that they killed.

 

Then starts the full-blown war with the demons where Arhan and his troops kill all the demon subordinates and MC, Jeongyu Yoo, Walker Elbin, Louis, Baekchun, and Kim Jin Seok goes to the Devil Forest to collect one of the 3 'Piece' to get the Holy Grail where Jinseok Kim fight Pluton(DemonKing), MC & Walker Elbin fight Satan(the Devils key), Louis & Jeongyu Yoo fight Demon BAAL, Baekchun fights Fukushi Genji and defeat them all, especially MC tap into his newly found power. And that be the end of all demons. Later Walker Elbin undergoes the same experiment that MC underwent in Abram's laboratory to increase his power. 

Then, without much delay, Angels enter the parallel world to get the Holy Grail. MC, Jeongyu Yoo, Walker Elbin, Louis, and Kim Jin Seok goes 'The Middle Lands' to get 1 of 3 pieces for the Holi grail, after some small trials which MC completed with the help of Diary as the last trial they fight the demon Valoc which is in shackles by Zahar the first human key which is the same Demon MC fought in the last in the tutorial and he and his team temporarily defeat it and then MC gets the key from demons side from Dragon Arian which is absorbed into his body and when returning they fight the angels who came to kill MC and get the piece. By this time The angels already get one of the pieces from the demon forest after fighting  Baekchun and the other surveyors. 

Then In the fight, Uriel gets killed by Walker Elbin, Raphael gets killed by Jeongyu Yoo with the help of Ramar(Demon sword) and the support of Louis, Kim Jin Seok fights Michael (Archangel) to a draw and our MC fights a small army of angels and after defeating them fight Metatron (King of Angels) but couldn't defeat him and at the moment when Metatron going to kill MC, Dragons interfere with the fight of angels with humans and asks to go back and also gets a cease-fire time of 3 years for humans. 

This time MC goes to the Demon forest to meet with the dragon Garen there to help him learn how to use the fragment, While Jeongyu Yoo tries to learn to control Ramar, Baekchun makes equipment for Kim Jin Seok to withstand Hell fire of Michael.
